13. Jasmine: I don’t believe she deserves to be here, honestly. The girls were weak, yet there were still at least 4 girls I think would be better and more deserving.
12. Michael: The original mistake. I liked his story. Appreciated what he went through. And was rooting for him. But I just don’t think he’s very good.
11. Kris: Very boy-bandish in the times we’ve seen him. I’ve seen some other videos and liked him, but when it came time, I thought he copped out. I’ll be interested in seeing him with his guitar. He could be a mover.
10. Scott: I’ll be honest. I don’t buy the hype. I think he is here because he’s blind. I don’t really think he has a very good voice. He’ll be over-shadowed on the piano by Matt and doesn’t have the vocals to keep up.
9. Jorge: I’m interested to see how he chooses songs. I think he can sing, but I think he might not be able to handle some of the song types that an Idol must sing. Where’s Jorge going to go on “country” night? And plus, he loses points for crying like a little girl.
8. Lil: Lots of people will disagree on this… But I don’t really buy Lil. I know she’s being pimped to the tilt. And I hate that. I like the other girls better. I think they are more unique and more creative. I think Lil will sing songs and sound like the artist… I don’t know if that’ll work in this setting. A favorite always falls hard in this range. I think it’ll be Lil.
7. Megan: I LOVE Megan. I not only think she’s GORGEOUS, but I agree that she’s super fresh and the only girl I see myself really buying an album. Her song choice and creativity is going to be ridiculously important. She’s so unique and is by far the most attractive girl in the show, which will definitely help 
6. Alexis: After saying that, Alexis is quite attractive also. But I think she’s got some chops! I think she’s very commercial and can sing the Top 40 stuff better than any of the girls. I think she’ll excel at any type of songs and should stick around for quite awhile. She could very well be the top girl standing and has a chance to win this thing if the cards fall right.
5. Anoop: I love Anoop. I think he’s unique and fun. I’m definitely drinking the kool-aid. I don’t think Anoop can win because I just don’t think he’s as good of a singer as the 3 guys ahead of him, but he has a HUGE following and you never know.
4. Matt: I don’t really like Matt. He seems very smug and very… conceited. But he can definitely sing. And I LOVE the piano and think that will add even more. He’s going to have to work very hard not to go “dueling piano-ish”, but I think he’s going to be a contender. “True” musicians do well and I think he has a big following already.
3. Allison: This is based on one performance. But boy was it amazing. When she sang Hart I was quite skeptical… Very few can handle that song. Yet, she killed it. And I think she’s a girl who’s going to grow into this. She’s sneakily cute and with makeovers could be a knockout. She has an amazing voice and I think when it gets down to the big, crazy vocals, she’s going to shine. One of the few contestants who had a WOW performance… I’m banking that wasn’t a one time wonder.
2. Danny: There’s no doubting Danny’s ability. He’s amazing. So far, his song choice has been fabulous. But his back-story is rubbing lots of people the wrong way. It feels like they are cramming him down my throat. But if anyone can overcome it, it’s Danny. I think he’ll do well having a couple weeks without being pimped.
1. Adam: I think Adam is going to be helped by Danny being the judge’s champion, although he doesn’t need ANY help. My only concern about Adam is will he become too… out there. He’s clearly the best singer, amazingly unique, and FRESH. He makes the girls weak in the knees and brings a monstrous following in the show. I think he’s the one to beat.

i think the gay, kissing photos wil hurt adam in the end- too many families voting for him – there is no way he will be #1 ….. i can guarantee it~~~ actually, the pics will seal that deal

First, you’re giving way too much credit to “families” finding these pictures. I talk to people daily about Idol who ONLY watch it on TV. So if these don’t show up on the news, there’s a good chance it won’t hurt him that much.
Secondly, being openly gay isn’t going to hurt him, IMO. I really don’t see it being a problem, especially since it’s well known he’s from a theater background and that hasn’t hurt his popularity.

I totally agree with most of this list. My only problems with your rankings are a) Megan because cute, unique, fresh, etc. can’t make up for flat out sucking, and b) Lil because she can actually sing really well even though she might be a bit cheesy at times. I would say Megan should be 11 and Lil should be 5.

I would agree with you on Megan, besides the fact that the cute, unique girls ALWAYS stay around, even when they aren’t as talented. And there are plenty of people who think she’s a good singer… She can sing songs that really hide her lack of a “GREAT” voice and keep moving on. I’d be SHOCKED if she’s not around for quite awhile.
For Lil. On my first draft, I had her at #3… Then #5… And as I was fitting others in, I just don’t see her being dynamic… But she can sing… And there’s a very good chance she’ll kill and be a contender. She’s the one that I reserve my right to change my mind after another couple weeks.

I do agree with the list in general, but Danny at no 2? Really? I don’t really get the hype. He has a nice voice and all, but I think he’s pretty forgettable. He makes me think of Taylor Hicks (not the singing style though), and we all know how his career panned out.

I don’t believe in ranking because its too early to predict, anything can happen.. even a great singers in fast season are voted off based on their performances. If i were you, do anything for your idol to place on top in this competition. vote, vote, vote!

Clay actually didn’t win. He was the runner up. but I agree it doesn’t matter if he is gay or straight. But it just doesn’t take away from the fact that I think he is. I am not a fan of his singing that’s all. I just feel like he is a Broadway star not a pop star. Time will tell. He may surprise me though.

hahahh, you guys, i want to get with adam just as much as the next girl, or maybe more, but he is gay. all you people saying he isn’t are wrong. he came out and told everybody.
he said something like “i got to kiss a girl, it’s not my preference, but it wasn’t that bad”

all of these girls go around saying they are his biggest fan, but most of them don’t even watch idol, they just like him for his looks.
you guys, adam lambert is the shit, he is definately the one to beat, i’m almost hoping he doesn’t win, everyone knows they always make it bigger if they are the runner up or even 3rd 4th or 5th. someone has spotted adam’s talent already and i’m sure after his journey on idol, wherever it is he finishes, someone will sign him.

i also really really like allison, she has raw talent and she gives me chills when she sings, i love watching her perform, she looks so comfortable and she’s so young too, she’s very lucky
i don’t remember the performances of matt michael or jorge, i’m hoping they get out of here quickly. i remember hearing jasmine, and lil, but i don’t like either of them at all, so i’m hoping they get out too.

Adam is brilliant. It’s like Prince meets Freddie Mercury meets Robert Plant meets Steven Tyler….!!!!! Just awesome! over the top in a damn refreshing way!!!! People go and post about him like crazy, and vote, and write customer reviews on iTunes after you buy his performances. It’s so cheap but they look at all this stuff and push certain people so let’s help him out!!!!
I didn’t even want to WATCH this year because David COOK was the best EVER but it’s apples and oranges with Adam and DC. Adam is a different type singer and performer altogether.
Cookie will forever be my favorite though, with the huge, round resonant tones that soothe my brain and the MAD writing skillz.!!!
Adam has more tricks up his sleeve tho – he can sing a ballad beautifully and it will be borne out.

wow i am amazed at how accurate this list is! except for kris u got the a top right. i really hope anoop sneaks in there but i think hes going this week =(
