Ellen Discusses First Day of Idol on her Show

I have to say that I think the Ellen Show is going to really help Idol. It’s a big platform for the kind of audience they want to pimp the show and contestants each and every day. I think this might have been a brilliant move, especially if she’s any good as a judge!

Ellen DeGeneres to be 4th American Idol Judge

Just in case you haven’t heard, Paula’s not going to be back when the 9th season of Idol begins in January. In her place, none other than Ellen DeGeneres. I don’t know exactly what qualifications she has to be a judge of a singing competition, but at least she can talk. And her wife is really hot.

In other news, Hollywood week will be moved back this year to start January 9th, meaning there won’t be the leaks that usually start coming out in November. Kind of a bummer, but such is life. Ellen’s schedule is believed to be one of the main reasons and this moveback will allow her to be part of Hollywood week.
