“The Boy’s Club”

Tonight started off with the group preforming “School’s Out” with Slash.  Then Ryan talked with the four finalists about last night’s performances.  Danny joked about his “Friday the 13th” impersonation of Steven Tyler.  Allison laughed about her talking back to the judges and Kris looked back by saying his is surprised to have made it this far.

With much anticipation we sat through Paula’s debut of her single “I am just here for the Music.”

Then we got a show from No Doubt with their performance of “Just A Girl.” Gwen Stefani got into it as usual, even doing some push-ups.

And then Ryan announces that Kris Allen is the first one in the Top 3?!?!?!

Still biting my nails………………..

Season-Five-fourth place finisher Chris Daughtry along with his band, debuted their new single “No Surprise.”  Chris reminisced about his last stand on American Idol.  Remembering it clearly but claiming he was over it in like “30-seconds.”

After receiving kudos from all judges Adam Lambert joins Kris Allen.  We are then left with Danny Gokey and Allison Iraheta in the bottom two.  And “you, Danny Gokey are…………safe!!!!

Even with tears rolling down her checks during an astounding  good bye performance of “Cry Baby”(how ironic) Allison still entertained the judges!

And then there were three!!!!  After more than 6o million votes and for the second year in a row we are left with just males.  “The boy’s club” consists of Danny, Adam, and Kris.

So who will be the final two?

Who will get “slashed?”

Tonight was a rockin night!!

Adam-

Adam’s  astounding performance tonight of “Whole Lotta Love” by Led Zeppelin definitely rocked the night off.  It was no surprise.  This man has got talent and will be safe this week.  Paula stumbled to find the right words, coming up with “you are a whole lot of perfect.”  Randy calls him “a rock star” and tells him to forget the Broadway image.   And Kara calls him “a rock god.”  Simon noted that “nobody can top that.”

Allison-

Allison brought it with her performance  of “Cry Baby”.   This girl has got some pipes!   Randy said that she “sung her face off, But I didn’t love it.”  Kara asked her if she was nervous and she with her bright smile replied ” I am always nervous.”   Paula called her “down right fearless.” And added that she would make the perfect bio role for Janis Joplin.  Of Course Simon with his snideness called it “staggering.”

Kris-

Ewwwee….now this just wasn’t what I expected of Kris.  Not his usual.   He sang “Come Together” a Beatles classic and added the guitar into the mix.  This may have done him in.  Comparing the other performances of the night this may be the end for him.  Randy “loved the guitar” and “enjoyed it.”  While Kara says he “tried too hard.”  Paula simply called it “risky.” And  Simon said it was “like eating ice for lunch” and a “bit boring.”

Danny-

Danny went out on a limb and tried something out of his safe zone.  Taking on  ” Dream On”  he tried Steven Tyler’s high pitch scream and by no means did he pull off Steven’s range but he put his own twist on it.  Paula stood as usual rocking out with him.  She said she didn’t “know if it was the right song but I give  it an A++.”  Kara said he went “too far.”  Randy said it was “alright” and gave him an A+ for valiant effort.  And Simon called the last note “something out of a horror movie” and “like a scene from Friday the 13th.”  But also added that he still thinks Danny is safe.  Danny claims that he will try better.
